We talk about my mindset with dealing with loneliness and how important it is to take the time to find out who I am before entering into a relationship.

He also brings the show a couple of gifts in the form of some audio from Bert Kreishcher’s new comedy special on Netflix, “Secret Time”. Which gets us talking about whether or not our kids are really stupid, and how sometimes they feel we are just as dumb!

In this episode I discuss the last week or so of my life where I went though my house and purged all my old belongings. Cleaned out my house, my garage, bought a car, new beds, and furniture. Lot’s going on in the Ginger homestead. Some fun stories to be told for sure. Also, Dan and I discuss funny 4th of July stories. There’s always one idiot with a firework!

This series always makes me think about so many aspects of life. This episode allows us to focus on parenting. How much should you as a parent insert yourself into the life of your child?  If you could use an implant to see what they see, and protect them from harm… would you? What if that meant you accidentally tuning into them losing their virginity?

For every possible way you can think of that would help you to better protect your child… there’s another possibility you’re hindering your child from growing up and developing through good and bad experiences to become a healthy person.

While driving home from work last week Friday morning, my daughter called to tell me that the school(s) were closing because of a school shooting threat. After having a few conversations with my kids, it got me thinking, what is the process schools are taking to protect the teachers, the kids and the fears that us parents have in situations like this.

In less frightening and more upbeat news, how far is too far when converting your home into a bachelor pad? Do you man cave up every room… or just a few? It’s probably best to allow the children to keep their rooms the way that they are… or maybe let them update them to their own tastes.

When dating just isn’t working out… maybe it’s best to back burner that for a while and just enjoy life the way it is. Which is what I did… and am doing.
